Why Do People Smoke?

Many people are only focused on the negative side of smoking, but they don't see the benefit that smoking could bring to those people, they don't realize how important smoking could be for those people. When smoking, it relaxes your nerves, due to dopamine and other chemicals that are produced by nicotine and other substances, these chemicals could combine with your nerves which cause relaxation, and if we take it out of their life, they could get addicted to drugs, which is even more dangerous and could cause death.

The Negative Effects Of Smoking

Smoking can cause cancer, health problems, addiction, and isolation, among others. Some chemicals in cigarettes might bring toxins into your body that your body could not detoxify, this means the toxins will remain in your body forever, and it keeps on adding. Until one day, your cells could no longer function, then turn into cancer. Cigarettes could also cause blood vessels problems like clogged arteries, due to the increased activities of the platelets. There are about 4.8milion people who smokes in Canada, but when compared with the non-smoking people(34.2million) it is only just a small portion of people that smoke, due to this it might be hard for them to make friends or find comfort around others.

Heart Attack/Stroke

A heart attack is when your heart's blood vessels get clogged by the build up of substances in your vessels which prevent the oxygenated blood from delivering oxygen to the heart tissues, which causes the death of cells in that certain area, which then causes the heart to stop pumping blood. Stroke is also caused by the blockage of blood vessels, but this time it happens in the brain. Both are deadly, and only have a small amount of time to save them from death.

Lung Cancer

Smoking could cause many kinds of cancers, but the most common one is lung cancer, smoking could cause the protective mucus in your lungs to die, exposing your lungs to bad substances, which cause a faster worn out of the cells, and could have a higher chance of getting lung cancer.
